Rachel is the department Chair, teaches 7 classes per semester in Communications and has a loyal beauty following. She is an inspiration and an aspiration. Last week I was honored to attend my first INNOCOS event hosted by the one and only Iryna Kremin 🇺🇦 who asked me to present (a conference first for me) about the luxury skincare customer and my vision about where the industry may go. I had the pleasure of catching up with many known colleagues and also meeting even more new contacts - many - across brand, technology, consumer insights, agency support, innovation, health, wellness and longevity. I arrived with zero expectations and departed feeling enlightened, enthusiastic and energized about the dynamism of the beauty health and wellness industries and the innovation all around. Last week I had the pleasure of having dinner with my dear friend and former L'Oréal /Lancôme colleague Mimi Banks of MB Social . Mimi Banks was an OG social media guru at Lancome and is now the founder of MB Social - the social media agency with many accolades and THE innovator in putting dermatologists on Tik Tok. Her agency now provides community management support, creator representation and social media management to companies big and small. She also can educate teams on specific areas and provide short term support. Mimi educated me on LinkedIn best practices. Im trying to implement her sage and sound advice. Once again I’ve learned that the industry is small, we are forever connected by our relationships and there is always something new to learn.
