Single leaf, illuminated manuscript on thick fibrous buff paper, in Arabic, containing the text from Surah al-Baraqah verse 100 (part) to verse 109 (part), c. 475 x 340 mm; single column, 11 lines elegant black muhaqqaq script, verses marked by gilt roundels in the shape of flowers with blue additions outlined in black, diacitics in black with some vocalisation in red, some light finger-soiling, paper repair to outer edge of one side (not affecting text), in modern card mount. Leaf from a large and impressive Mamluk Qur'an, most likely produced in Egypt in the mid-fourteenth century. Seller Inventory # 110133
