Open house, dedication, rendering dates announced for North and Central America temples

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the open house, dedication dates and renderings for temples located in North and Central America.

Church officials also have released the location of the Huehuetenango Guatemala Temple and a rendering of the Tampa Florida Temple.

The public open house for the Feather River California Temple will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, through Saturday, Sept. 9, not including Sundays.

The dedication for the temple will be held on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, in two sessions. Officials said Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedication.

The temple, which is expected to be about 38,000 square feet in size, will be located at 1470 Butte House Road in Yuba City, California. A new meetinghouse and distribution center have been built near to the temple.

Church President Russell M. Nelson first announced the Feather River California Temple in October 2018.

Huehuetenango Guatemala Temple, 18 Avenida, Zone 4, El Terrero, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. A single-story building of roughly 10,787 square feet is planned.

An artist’s rendering of the Tampa Florida Temple has been released. The location of this house of the Lord, 4806 Bell Shoals Road in Valrico, Florida, was announced on October 31, 2022.
