Windows XP 3790 SP1 RC1 Activation Problems

Post by YoshiFan111 »

Hi,

So I downloaded Windows XP Pro x64 3790 SP1 RC1 from the FTP. The installation goes fine until the first logon.
There is a box where it says i have to activate Windows XP, so I clicked on No and it logs me off...

Here is the message box :

So, is there a way I could bypass this ?

Thanks,

When you installed the OS, you changed the BIOS date?

Buildtag? If it is 3790.1232, it's a post-reset Longhorn build that has zero-day activation by default. According to The Collection Book you need AntiWAT or AntiWPA (not linked due to rules).

Try booting in Safe mode and use AntiWPA

Spam the F8 key on boot, select Safe Mode and use AntiWPA.
Or maybe you can install another build of 3790. I've personnaly used the 3790.1232 vbl_core and it never prompted me for any activation

Does 3790.1232 vbl_core even exist? IIRC there's only 3790.1232.winmain.040819-1629

Oops! I just realized this wasn't a Microsoft build, but a slightly tweaked build based on 3790.1232 made by "Samuka" for his "Shorthorn project", sorry about that little mistake I've done :p
