Marseille manager Didier Deschamps has offered his former Juventus team-mate Alessandro Del Piero the chance to join him in France next season.
Del Piero, 37, has been told his contract will not be renewed by the Old Lady this summer, but he is keen to play on.
And Deschamps, who won the Champions League with Del Piero as a player and managed him for a season in Serie B, wants his old friend to join him in Ligue 1.
"I have respect for what Alex has done in his career," Deschamps told Rai Sport. "He’s a champion whom I have had the good fortune to have as a team-mate and then a player.
"If he chose to come to Marseille then I would welcome him with open arms."
Del Piero is Juve's all-time record goal-scorer, with 205 goals in the league and 315 in all competitions.
But he has mostly featured from the bench this season, only finding the back of the net once - in the Coppa Italia.
Marseille face Internazionale in the Champions League on Wednesday, and are fourth in Ligue 1 after turning round a dreadful start to their domestic season.
Juve, meanwhile, are second in Serie A, one point behind leaders Milan.
